This page defines the license terms that apply to all images generated on GirlGenerator.app (the "Service"). By generating images on the Service, you acknowledge and agree to the terms below.
1. Who This Applies To
These license terms apply to every user of GirlGenerator.app — including users on the free tier and all paid plans. The right to use generated images commercially is not a paid feature. It is available to everyone.
2. Your License to Use Generated Images
Subject to the restrictions in Section 4, GirlGenerator.app grants you a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, modify, and distribute images you generate through the Service for both personal and commercial purposes.
2.1 Permitted Commercial Uses
You may use your generated images for:
- Client work and freelance projects
- Merchandise and physical products (prints, apparel, accessories)
- Game assets, concept art, and digital media
- Social media content and advertising
- Marketing materials, brochures, and promotional assets
- Book covers, editorial illustrations, and publications
- Website and app design
- NFTs and digital collectibles, subject to applicable laws
- Any other lawful commercial purpose
2.2 Attribution
Attribution to GirlGenerator.app is not required. If you choose to credit the platform, you may write "Created with GirlGenerator.app" — but this is entirely optional.
3. GirlGenerator.app's Rights
By generating images on the Service, you grant GirlGenerator.app a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, host, and serve your images as necessary to operate the Service. We may also use generated images for platform promotion, showcase galleries, and marketing purposes in anonymized or curated form. We will not individually identify you in connection with your images used for promotional purposes without your consent.
4. Restrictions
Your license to use generated images does not permit:
- Illegal content. You may not use generated images for any unlawful purpose or in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international law.
- Impersonation of real individuals. You may not use generated images to falsely represent, defame, or impersonate a real, identifiable person in a way that could cause harm, deception, or reputational damage.
- Reselling the tool itself. You may not represent or resell GirlGenerator.app's generation technology as your own product or service without written permission.
- Prohibited content categories. Images generated in violation of our Terms of Service (including any content involving minors) carry no license and must not be used or distributed.
5. Copyright Notice
Under current United States Copyright Office guidance, AI-generated images produced without sufficient human authorship may not qualify for copyright protection. This means that in some jurisdictions, images you generate on this Service may be in the public domain or otherwise unprotectable by copyright. GirlGenerator.app makes no representation that generated images are copyrightable. You are responsible for understanding the intellectual property laws in your jurisdiction before asserting copyright over any generated image.
This situation is evolving as legislatures and courts address AI-generated content. We recommend consulting a legal professional if copyright ownership is material to your use case.
6. No Warranty on Output
GirlGenerator.app does not warrant that generated images are free from third-party intellectual property claims. While our generation models are trained to avoid reproducing specific copyrighted elements, we cannot guarantee that every output is free of resemblance to protected works. You use generated images at your own risk.
7. Changes to This License
We may update these license terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. For images already generated before any change, the license terms in effect at the time of generation continue to apply.
